Wideband data from serial port not supported?

(Apologies in advance if this is a FAQ, I did try searching.....)

I'm still using the serial version of the hptuner cable and do not have any of the optional input modules.

Is it possible to have hptuner read the LM-1 data directly over another serial port? Or through some sort of API function within Windows? I know upgrading to the fancy new usb cable makes life very easy, and that I could pipe the data through the egr or ac connection. I'd simply prefer a more elegant and inexpensive solution is all.

Fwiw, I'm doing this in order to upgrade to RTT.

    Thanks,
    Dan

    Not currently.
It doesn't have to be perfect, it just needs to be done in two weeks...

There's nothing stopping you from reading the WB through the AC or EGR with the serial interface and in my mind thats a lot more elegant than trying to run it through another serial port.

Someone from HPT would have to chime in to confirm but I don't see why you could not run 2.2 over the serial interface as long as you're not trying to tune a vehicle that the serial interface doesn't support.
