fuel gage question 98-02 ecm.

I am trying to figure out how to get my fuel gage to work on my 02 camaro after doing an 02 ecm and pin swap. I am aware that you can swap out the fuel tank and cluster but want to use that as a last resort. Has anyone changed it with hptuners as with other tuning software? As always, Thanks for any help.

98 to 02 swap, or 02 to 02 swap.

You can do the swap but you need access to pcm functuions not in the software of hpt or others. (you can do a segment swap to get these functions enabled, using a OS from an express van)

You will need the fuel level sender and gauge cluster as well, that goes in the tank. The 1998 goes out of the range for a 1999+ ECM. Just swap to a newer fuel level sender and gauge cluster, then you should be good. No other way around it that I am aware of.
