    Moded And Mixed 4.3 Problems

    I HAVE 2 DIFFERENT COMBO'S BEING USED HERE. MY ENGINE BLOCK, HEADS AND ACCESSORIES ARE 2002. MY ECU, DISTRUBUTER, SPARK CONTROL, MAP SENSOR IS 92. I HAVE CUSTOM BUILT CERAMIC HEADERS, 8.5MM MSD WIRES, 3 WIRE O2, K&N, EDELBROCK INTAKE, I PUT A HOLLEY 670cmf TBI ON.
    USED A PAINLESS WIRING HARNESS KIT. EVERYTHING IS BRAND NEW. HAD THE TIMEING DONE. THE THROTTLE BODY WAS DRINKING SO MUCH GAS I COULD SMELL RAW FUEL IN THE AIR FILTER, SO I PUT A STOCK TBI ON. GAVE ME WAY BETTER THROTTLE RESPONSE, BUT LOST A LOT OF POWER ON THE TOP END.
    HERE'S WHERE MY PROBLEMS OCCUR. NOT MAKING ENOUGH POWER AT ALL, CAN BARLEY MAKE IT OVER THE SPEED LIMIT, I HAVE THIS SET UP IN MY 48 WILLYS CJ-2A. I HAVE 5.13s IN THE R&P ON 37'' TIRES AND MY SPEED SENSOR IS SLIGHTLY OFF BY A VERY SMALL MARGIN. I RUNNING A 700R4. I'VE BEEN THINKING OF GETTING AN AFTERMARKET ECU AND HAVING IT PROGRAMMED. I'VE EVEN CONSIDERED A SUPER CHARGER IF I CAN'T GET ENOUGH POWER OUT OF IT.
    I'VE BEEN LOOKING INTO GOING BACK TO THE ORIGINAL INJECTION SYSTEM AND HAVING A CUSTOM WIRING HARNESS MADE SO I CAN FUN THE 700R4.
    IF ANYBODY CAN GIVE ME SOME ADVICE, OR A DIRECTION TO GO IN. I WOULD BE VERY GREATFUL

    Need some more info....

    I'm a Syclone/Typhoon tech. I've worked,built and tuned alot of 4.3L chevy's.

    Your using a Ballance shaft engine with a Edelbrock Vortech intake and a TBI

    unit with a stand alone Painless harness and Painless computer or just the

    stand alone harness and factory ECM?

    Are you using the stock 2002 Camshaft? (I hope so)

    Your not going to make much power with out forced induction of some sort.

    Don't do it with a TBI.

    I can help guide you through this setup and try to help you with your goals.
