    Tcc Problems

I went from a 4l60 to a 4l80. I put the vss wiring to the PCM. Does anyone know the settings to loose the Po740 code. I only have first gear. I'm new to tuning and want to focus on the motor first. Then I'll move to the trany. Any help would be appreciated.

You have to do a segment swap. The 60 code won't run the 80.

I did a copy paste file by file from a 6.0 to my PCM but it didn't work. I had a friend of mine at a dealer put it back to stock. He said he couldn't flash just the trany he would have to flash the hole PCM with a new vin and os. At that point I lose my licence because of vin and os number. The 6.0 that i copied the files from worked fine when I ran it in my truck. How do I flash just the trany segment. If need be I'll by a file and flash my pcm.

Send me your stock file and VCM Suite info and I'll do the swap for you.

Your going to love this. Check out the attachment. Note the BCC and serial#. Thats what I got back from the dealer. I would say this one hits the dumpster. LOL. Let me ask you this. If I grab a PCM from the junk yard (the only one they have available is a 2002 5.3 and it's free) and the trany segment is the same as my 6.0. Can I copy paste at that point. The first time I tried to swap it wasn't apples to apples. I had a pressure field in the 5.3 but not in the 6.0. The reason I ask is I've seen two 2002 5.3 with out that pressure table in the trany. If not I would like to take you up on you offer when I get the PCM. Thanks for the help. I really appreciate it.

Thats wierd. You should be able to have them flash it to stock with your VIN info. Seems like something isn't quite right there...

The vins ok . The chip set and serial# didn't come back. With out the Serial# HP Tuner won't let me back in to make changes. But all the setting are back to the 5.3 I also had him flask it with a 6.0 4l80 os. It flashed fine but with no os or chip code so i couldn't license it.

I went and got the 2002 PCM from the junk yard and sent you the files you asked for. Thanks again for the help. I want to learn everything I can about tuning. Just not all at once.
