    LBZ Scanning Issues

I just downloaded Version 2.2 with the hope of doing a little tuning on my buddy's 06 2500HD 6.6 Diesel. When I tried to scan his truck, the scanner showed that many of the diesel PIDs were "not supported." Many of the PIDs that are supported do not appear to be showing correct values (TPS at 100% all the time, MAP pressure remains at 0 all the time and the turbo vane position remains at 0%). Does anyone have any ideas what I am doing wrong???

    Thanks for the help,
    Kevin

PS: I can read the VCM and use the VCM Editor without any problem.

Does it always do it or just once?

I've had a few "just once" occurances that were probably caused by picking up the data in "mid stream".

We tried it two or three times with the same result. I also tested the scanner out on my 99 Z28 and everything worked fine, so its only the LBZ we are having trouble with.

    Thanks,

Ok. Here's something to try that might help. In your HPT file it lists the operating system of your PCM. Now, find that OS file number in:
    C:\Program Files\HP Tuners\VCM Suite 2\Vehicles

Then delete it. When you reconnect to the vehicle it will re-scan for supported PIDs. Once it's done, delete the PIDs from the table view and add the ones you are interested in as well as the matching histograms.

If that doesn't work: support at hptuners.com
