oh, ok my tahoe is alittle different than most which is why i ask.

so how sensitive are the signals to the abs sensors? as in will a long wire and relay affect the signal to where it might be skewed off and not send a clear proper signal. i don't know how the signal is sent is why i ask. if its milivolts then it might affect it abit.

abs wheel sensors are hall effect sensors and are sensitive to alot of things
thats why from the factory they are assembled in the harness as a twisted pair (low reference and sensor signal)

    but more importantly

    Traction Off Indicator
The IPC illuminates the traction off indicator when the following occurs.

The EBCM disables engine torque reduction due to a malfunction and sends a serial data message to the IPC requesting illumination.
The driver manually disables VSES and engine torque reduction by pressing the traction control switch. The EBCM sends a serial data message to the IPC requesting illumination.
The IPC flashes the traction off indicator if wheel slip is detected while engine torque reduction and brake pressure application are both disabled.
"vses" is gm slang for stabilitrac

so i would press the traction control switch

but in my owners manual it says that it can still apply brake pressure to the slipping wheel. and only in 4lo is it completely disabled. thats just what my book says. i know with it off i can do doughnuts in the snow all day long. lol. so here is my next question. my stabiitrac off button is in with my 4lo and neutral buttons. so with the fuse pulled you told me to pull will i still have power over the stabilitrac on/off button. i guess this weekend i'll just have to try and see. thing is it has to be wet out to really get anything out of it because its well....AWD lol. or "full time 4wd"

with the tcs fuse pulled you will have full power to the tc switch
it is an individual switch w/ its own plug its just in with other switchs

from what i can tell the tcs mod grounds the pcm pin to tell it 4lo but is tells the abs/vses mod via class 2 data

    i would do another test

there are to 60a fuses in the underhood fuse block "abs" and "VSES/ECAS" try pulling both and see if everything is disabled

if that works you could get a couple 60a relays and splice them in at the fuse block

wel i pulled the trec fuse and got a service 4wd and a t/c off light along with a stabilitrac disabled light. so that doesn't work lol. i also found a bunch of junk around where my clutch pedal should go.

the must have changed the bcm so it checks on all the modules

i wonder what would happen if you have somebody reflash the pcm,bcm and everything else to a different vin off of a 2004 2wd tahoe ?

i know you would have to relicense it w/ hptuners if you have a single vin/pcm license

    heres what you found

btw most if not all 99+ silverados have that fuse box including manual transmissions if i find time i'll look one up at work(late model salvage yard) and take a look at how the pedal cluster is in there

here are some better striaght on pics of the adjustable peddles. i think the big ass actuator on the left side of the brake peddle may get in the way of the clutch peddle. i wonder if the peddle goes over that electric box or to the right of it. if it goes to the right then it may hit the brake. thanks again for all the help.

yeah he is a member on pt.net. i pm'ed him already to see if he has adjustable pedals. everything else seems to be good to go just need to find out if the actuator will be in the way or not.
