LONG STORY SHORT. I have a 2.4 LE5 short block with a LSJ head and intake and supercharger. a F35 trans all the sensors and ECM/BCM from a LSJ (ion REDLINE) I have the engine all buttoned up in the car and i fired it up the only problem is that I have to fether the throttle to keep it running. i checked the cam sensor the crank sensor both of which are good and installed correctly. im still theowing the P0017 DTC Which is Crankshaft/camshaft position corellation sensor B. sensor B references the camshaft sensor which is installed correctly. the cams are installed correctly the crank shaft pulley/balancer is installed correctly. I need to find out if the reluctor rings are the same on a 2.0l and 2.4l. I know that they are both 58x with a 12deg reference gap but is the gap in the same place?
I contacted a source who replied to me by saying.
The crank ring is off by 12 deg (difference between LE5 and LSJ). You would need to replace the ring on the LE5 crank with the LSJ ring. Alternatively, you may want to talk to HPtuners to see if they can figure out how to cheat it in the calibration file.
So my question to HP tuners is is there a way difference in reluctor rings via HP tuners calibration? Also is there a way for me to do a crankshaft variation relearn with HP tuners? the only way I know of now is to use a gm tech II scanner.
