    Scanner question

I have a question about the gauge/scanner. I added a custom pid to the table called boost which calculated the boost based on MAP. I also added a custom gauge to the gauge display for the boost pid. Recently I removed the boost pid from the table to add something different and forgot about the gauge. When I connected and started scanning the boost gauge was still displaying values. My question is, is this normal? Can you display a pid in the gauge and not log it using the table???

    TIA,

I think that the issue is that if your custom PID references other PID's that are being logged, you don't actually have to have the custom PID in the table - the scanner just calculates the value based on the PID's it is logging.

Ahh that makes sense. If it was actually another sensor that I stopped logging then the gauge would stop too...
    Thanks!
