    8.1 w/allison tune

Just bought the truck today, 04 w/80k for $13,000, could not pass it up. Truck is super clean.

Now I will start playing with the tune. I searched for anything on the 8.1 and or Alison, but came up with very few post that seem to have no real out of the ordinary advise. I was just wondering if someone has found the sweet spot in its tune. I like every one else here like to work smarter and not harder, so if someone has anything to share, feel free!!LOL

The PE delay on the 8.1 is forever so get rid of that first.
Also GM is pretty conservative on timing on most all trucks. However if you are towing at or near the GCVW of the truck & trailer, be a little conservative with spark. Those engines can get hot under full load.

Tune for 12.5 AFR to be on the safe side.
And give it as much spark as it will take for dyno purposes, then back it down a couple degrees for safety.
