Any way we can get support for this file?
If I can get on the beta testing side of this car that'd be sweet.
Thanks,
Jake
edit: didn't realize Matt had already contacted yall. Here's the file anyways lol

Yeah its on our to do list to get it supported, the definition looks like its already done for this file so its just a matter of committing to offering support for all of the other defs that might be out there for them.
It doesn't have to be perfect, it just needs to be done in two weeks...

Hey bill was the Ecm physically the same unit as the GXP/REdline?
Yes, identical. Even down to the operating system being used.

Sweet! So there may be a possiblity of putting their flatshift algorithm in the kappa chassis.
Im happy that it's mostly generic across the line, makes it more profitiable for HPT, the rest of us tuners and benefits the public by making more goodies availible to more chassis.
I have made than 400hp with this little sucker (for short periods) so far, I cant imagine that power in a front drivin' minivanish thing. It'll boil that right front with fury!lol.
hahaha yeah it will.Originally Posted by Baldturbofreak.com
I'm anxious to see what kind of power it'll make and what kind of times it'll run too. I really hope there's some kind of limited slip action goin on up front because that HHR is gonna be a one wheel fryin turd if not.
That's pretty cool that it's the same OS and PCM, like you said it'll make a broader range of people happy with these units. Anyways, lookin forward to the beta version Bill

I think I may be in same boat you are cause I just purchased HPT Pro and
installed ver 2.2.0 software which supports LNF 2.0 Solstice and Bill@ HPT
said in this forum that the HHR SS has same ecm and operating system as
GXP but when I download the hpt file from my new 08 HHR SS, It downloads
ok but won't save in HPT program because it gives "definitions not found"
error. I saved it in a documents directory. I attached it to this message
and sent email to support@hptuners.
Ideas??

I have 2.2.1.0 Beta, and can open the file. But the vehicle type shows it as a 2008 Pontiac Solstice.

Thanks for reply Russ. Did you mean you opened my file??Originally Posted by Russ K

He can open it, but we do not support the file yet meaning you will not be able to license it.Originally Posted by turbofreak

Bill,
I am just seeking info in the same vain as this post and did not see the need to start a new one. the question is what is the difference in the ECMs for the 2.2 cobalts vs. the J-body cars that puts in into the "not yet supported " catagory? this get asked allot on our forum, and a simple answer to give people might save you some short term headaches. I have the Jbody stuff so I'm cool myself, just want to be able to help some others out when I can.
thanks, Dave
05-07 Cobalt SS/SC 2.0=P12
05-07 Cobalt SS 2.4=E67
05-06 Cobalt 2.2=E16 pcm
07+ Cobalt 2.2=E37 pcm
older J-body pcm-not sure of the name but much smaller flash file & completely different from the above.
Not sure why GM did what they did with the cobalts but this is a big reason we can only support what we currently have.

+1 for support on HHR SS!
I sent my hpt file into support @hptuners and got a quick reply
with a new beta dated 2/29/08 that now works with my 2008
HHR SS. Where I could download the file before, I could not do
anything with it. Now it asks me for credits because it is a supported
file and I am able to change PE tables and others.
A BIG THANK YOU to HP Tuners for getting this done.

If anyone has an HHR SS 2.0t that they'd wish to tune & want to receive the beta for it please send us an email to support at hptuners.com including a vcm suite infolog while connected to the vehicle in question as well as a read from the pcm and I'll get you setup with it.
