Little history first of all: New GM tranny installed last year, less than 500 miles on it (I dont drive it obviously). I ordered an 03' for my 00' since it had the updated sprag, solenoids, etc. Installed 3.69's, 3500 stall, shift kit, etc. Had to rewire the switch connector due to the prndl switch being internal on the 03's and external on the 97-02's.
Have always noticed this: when cold my shifts around town are great, meaning 1-2 at about 15mph, 2-3 at around 25 and tc does not lock until around 40 since I keep it in 3rd around town. When I hit operating temp though is when the damn tc wants to engage at 28 or so. This bothers me since I just want it to run in 3rd, no lock up until I kick it into OD on the highway. So how can I get it to stay disengaged at town speeds? I just want 1, 2 and 3rd gear until I hit the highway which is few and far between.
Thanks guys in advance for any info and I hope I'm making myself clear.
