    Hp Tuners look.

I know you say you dont have time right now to tune our cars, but one topic comes up on tuning a 2.2 cobalt on css.net and people go NUTS. If you guys could just see how many people would buy it, the instant you released it, we wouldnt have such a problem here. Im gonna attach some links here of all the threads about the new tuning in the works. Hopefully this could possibly do something to help us e37 and e16 guys out. just give us some HOPE. i really dont want a shitty mail order tuner.

Everyone on css is super excited about a sub par way of tuning. I sure if you guys released something it would sell like crazy. Thanks for looking.

what more evidence does HPT need to support the e37 and e16 guys? Its been years since we first started asking for this kind of support and still nothing. Is there really no hope for us? If thats the case let us know and quit giving us the cold shoulder.

we have plans for the E37 (no timeframe), no plans for E16 at this time.

i don't mean to be out of place but i just wanted to speak up .. in my area.. there are ALOT of 2.2... as well as in most areas.. because it's the base and there are ALOT of people who want to make them fast.. i have 3 people i personally know in a 30 mile radius that want to boost their 2.2s but cant get a in person dyno tune..

theres a huge market for both of these..

however i understand the e16 is dead and is kinda a moot point..

but the e37 isn't that in some of the 2.4's? opening the doors up for them would be appreciated by alot of people the only method of tuning 2.2's as of now is by remote custom tuning .. and that guy cracked 05-08 pcms for all the delta platform in approximately a month..

If I were in your guys shoes, Id give Lyndon wester a hollar. He's as sharp as they come, and has his own software for tuning. It's very possible he could help your niche market out.

I tune E37's if you guys need some help. Cut the HPT guys some slack though they have to make money and making money requiries them to pick and choose thier markets and the E37 market is relatively small compared to the other stuff out there

I must get 100 people a year ask me to tune their 2.2L no kidding. But I looked into the competitors product (Vince at Trifecta), and the way he does business is not favorable to people like us. He will not let YOU tune the car, he makes you use his device to pull the tune, and because he doesn't have user friendly software like HPTuners he is the only one who knows how to read it. He then writes a tune, and you flash it. Any time you need to update you have to go through him too.

So you spend ~$300 on software and an interface cable, and then $150 per car to have him help you tune it. I have yet to find ONE.......freaking ONE 2.2L owner who is actually willing to pay what the tune costs. So of 100+ people none want to pay $350 to have their car tunes. But they will spend $500+ on an exhaust that does less for them. I don't get it.

Long story short, there really isn't a competitors product that you would want to deal with.

I'd rather see Ford and Dodge support personally. And that is what they appear to be working on.

I spent $2,500 on SCTs software for the mustangs, and that's a bank breaker. If I wanted to tune Hemi's I'd have to pay another $8,000 in software through SCT! Not kidding! So I'd rather see HPT support them so I can get my feet wet before I drown.

Nope, and it feels like sandpaper too, it's rough. If you can tune 2.2L ECMs you need to be selling me some.

I have to deny probably 50 to 100 2.2Ls a year, they really are left out.

we are planning to support the E37 ECM sometime this year. The earlier 2.2's that run the E16 will not be supported.

Why? LS2Edit works just fine for the 07-08 cars.
