    Fan Settings

With warmer weather around the corner (finally), I was going to change the fan settings to the following:

    Edit->System->General
    Fan type: 2 fans

    Current parameters:
    Fan 1
    On: 226
    Off: 219
    Fan 2
    On:234
    Off: 227
    Min: 30 mph
    Max: 35

    Change to:
    Fan 1
    On: 196
    Off: 188
    Fan 2
    On: 210
    Off: 202
Leave the mph as it is.

Any suggestions/comments? Any other changes I should make? Oh yeah, the thermostat is stock temp 180*.
    Thanks

My 180 degree thermostat keeps the engine at 190. I don't want my fans running while I'm cruising on the highway, so my low speed is set to 193/199 and high is 200/206. Has worked great for me.

    Re: Fan Settings

I have a "160" thermostat and have things set even lower.

Similarly, I wanted the fans to run only when they have to.
I found my low-throttle highway ECT was about 175F. So I
    put FAN1 177/176 and FAN2 179/178. I don't care about
hearing the fans. I want a stable ECT so I can tune it right
    up against the ping limit.

Thought many times about making the fans thermostatic
controlled so as to keep the tank temp down at 160 or so.
That ought to make for a nice tight temperatore control in
the water jacket. But never have gotten around to that.

Thanks for the replies. First time flashing PCM so I wanted to make a "simple" change to see if everything goes ok.
    Thanks again.

Good idea on simple changes. Fans are what I attacked first as well.
