    New ECM tunning

    I am doing an ls2 swap in a 68 Camaro. The motor came with a brand new ecm in the box, I am assuming it is blank. When I hooked up my new HPtuners and tried to read it I got an "unable to locate vcm" So can I download a stock 05 C5 (thats what the motor is out of) tune from the repository and write that to the ecm??

    I messed around with it today, and mounted the ecm, and it I read it just fine. I am guessing that the computer had to be grounded and that is why it didn't work before.
