    Quick tuning question

I bought HPTuners for my '98 Ls1. But I have a friend who has a 99+ LS1 that needs a tune. As long as I don't use my '98 tune, I can tune his car with my software, right? In other words, read his PCM, make necessary changes, then write back and I'll be ok, right? Thanks in advance. Enjoy my hptuners by the way. Tuning is fun.

Your tuner should have caome with enough credits for that I believe. You will have to use some of the credits, but you should be able to tune his car with your tuner.

And yes, you're correct -> read his PCM, make the changes to that VCM file, and write that back to his car.
