I have zero experience with 3.5's, but start with the basics like:

    - VE (*if* it does your car good)
    - MAF
    - remove anything that disables the inectors when you don't want them

    - For a little more MPG, try getting the tranny to shift a little sooner and the TC to lock up a little sooner.

    - Increasing timing anywhere from 3-6 degrees over stock will help.

    - Cold air intake will help.

    - Decrease exhaust restrictions

    - Increase the TP needed to activate PE mode by 5-10%

Then there is some of the obvious stuff... driving technique, tire pressure, no jack-rabbit starts, using the narrower tires over wide and sticky ones.

That should give you a good start.

I didn't think the 04-06 Malibu 3500 was supported...did something change recently to allow that? If so, I need to save for some more credits....

Well, that sucks...for me anyways. I don't understand how every motor in the past generation Malibu is supported except the 3500 non-vvt...which happens to be the bulk of the motors that are in these cars.
