I always thought that hp tuners could read DTC from any OBD2 vehicle? I tried to read a check engine light on a 1997 gmc truck and it wouldnt work. I know you cant tune unsupported vehicles but for some reason i thought this software could read codes from any obd2? Am i doing something wrong or was i just misinformed?

You should be able to read codes on any supported vehicle, no guarantees on an unsupported vehicle.
It doesn't have to be perfect, it just needs to be done in two weeks...
