    Retrieve 2008 LMM Diesel SES codes?

    I had a complaint of “Water In Fuel” DIC message and a Service Engine Soon lamp lit on a 2008 LMM Diesel ¾ Ton pickup. Later that day I went to scan the truck with the VCM scanner there were no codes shown. The SES light was off when I attempted to do the scan.

    Does HPTuners only show current happing now codes with no history? Or perhaps the water in fuel message doesn’t store a code with the SES lamp lit?

    A repair was made to an intermittent short below the fuel filter on the water sensor wiring. (No water was found.)

    Onstar could not pull any codes for this as well. Dealer found the sensor was bad and replaced it.
