I just zero out the 100 psi column on the stock force motor table. Then firm up the shifts by adding to the shift pressure tables (normal & perf) For the TCC, set the max table to 100 & the min table to 90. This gets rid of the TCC slip.

I think it just shows (as do MAF tables) that GM isn't
above a little "fudging" to get a desired result, even
if it brings in a little deviation from realism.
The force motor table "should" be pretty much just a
model of "what happens" and what is commanded,
should be expressed elsewhere (especially now with
the General Pressure stuff available). Although some
tables have insanity in the 100% column that needs
removed and I'd like to hear the rationale on that one;
I need a chuckle.

General pressure is the adaptive modes. Currently N/A on your operating system.
Check the Shift Properties tab. That is your shift pressures tab.

Question: Why change the force motor calibration tables at all?
Ive been working alot with the earlier 93+ OBD-1 PCMs that support the 4L60/80-E's and the FM calibration table (or tables) is only really there to serve as a transfer function for converting the desired added line pressure into mA for the force motor. These are really part of the force motor PID calibration and shouldnt be touched IMO. This table serves really to linearize the action of the desired line pressure.
To me, it seems that the correct way would be to adjust the load and speed based added desired line pressures.
Why does the force motor line pressure % pid only go to 38% @ max load. The milliamps at that point are .04 or close enough to zero which would suggest the 100% commanded line pressure coloum is being used. I navigate my position in the table by trans temp and milliamps but it would be nice to know why the force motor line pressure % max's out at 38%
Just for comparisson, attached is my 94 Cadillac Fleetwood Brougham V4P (7000 lb tow package) 4L60E Force Motor Current tables. IIRC, all 1994-1995 Corvette, Impala SS, Caprice 9C1, Roadmaster, and Fleetwoods used the same.
If the table doesnt look right, I wouldnt touch it. Theres always the possibility of an incorrect offset being used, or it being different.Originally Posted by Paul@G&D Performance
As I said above you REALLY dont want to mess with those force motor tables. The whole antiflare adaptive modifier PID routine and all the desired line pressure tables and associated logic rely on the force motor calibration tables to be correct. Those two tables should be left unmolested. For tuning, the desired added line pressure tables and desired shift time tables should be used exclusivly.
