    1->2 Shift Engine Shutdown Problem

    Hey Guys,
    Did a search this forum but found no specific discussion on my particular problem. I recently installed new cam in my truck. Now making good power up to 6K RPM. I upped the shift point 1 to 2 to 6000 rpm. Now when the truck shifts 1-2 during the entire shift its like someone is turning off the key during the shift.

    Any thoughts?

    What does your TPS sensor show? That or spark advance
    indicates the source of the power cut. Electric throttle
    trucks have several throttle closer actions from the
    traction control. As well as perhaps a big huff triggering
    burst knock pullbacks. You have to catch the actor.

    I've read several of your posts about tuning a HP Truck lately. I wish I had your skills. To be honest most of what you say goes way over my head.

    I just set the shiftpoint couple days ago. I have not yet gotten out and logged it. You are right, I should do that and it will point more to the culprit. Should have done that before posting the question.

    Just did a log. 1-2 shift RPM 6158 with a 6000 rpm setpoint. TPS dropping from 100 % to 38%. Set the Engine->Fuel Cutoff, DFCO->ETC Cutoff RPM vs. Gear from 6100 to 6200. That fixed it. ;DNow gotta get my shiftkit in. 1-2 shift sucks.

    For those that can't follow what he is saying, he was hitting the rev limiter. Raising the rev limiter solved the fuel cut at WOT and allowed him to shift at full throttle.
