    Interface not responding...

I got rid of Vista on my laptop and installed XP, reinstalled VCM Editor version 2.22 and now the interface isn't responding. I've tried everything I can think of to no avail. Please help, I really need to make some adjustments badly.

    Thanks everyone.

Sounds like your drivers are not installed or not installed correctly.
It doesn't have to be perfect, it just needs to be done in two weeks...

Are the drivers installed automatically when the software is installed? This is the first time I've had a problem with this software. Could the interface be the problem?

I think somethings wrong with the interface. The laptop doesn't recognize it when its plugged into the USB port and when you plug it in the laptop doesn't make the two-tone sound to let you know its connected, it makes a three-tone sound indicating a problem. Anything else plugged into the USB port shows up on the device manager except the MPVI.

    No

Could the interface be the problem?
    Highly unlikely

While connected to your interface post a screenshot of your device managers USB section. It should look near identical to this

Your drivers aren't installed properly as you can see they are under Other Devices & the ! means they didn't install properly. Right click on each & select uninstall, disconnect your MPVI unit, wait 10 seconds, then reconnect at which time it will run through the device driver installer procedure again.

Thanks Bill, that was it. I guess the software I downloaded off of the website when I reinstalled everything back on my laptop didn't have the drivers. I had to install them off of the original CD that came with the MPVI.

    Thanks again, you're a lifesaver.
