lil help 2 turbo cars ready to get tuned need some advice 3 bar maps

ok i got two turbo cars ready to get a tune...

both cars are pretty much alike..one has built 370 other stock 346 both have same fuel with 60# injectors

sd tune with 3 bar map sensor..

there going to a shop to get the final tune i am in know way experienced enough to even to begin to tune these cars..BUT IM learning...and want to learn how to do it. but way to much money into these cars to do something stupid

what i need to do is set up a base tune for these cars that i can fire them up so they can idel and i can drive them around the block or so to check for leaks and everything is in good working order before i load them up on the trailor and take them to get tuned..

    car
    1999 trans am 6 speed.
    MTI built 370 iron block
6.0 heads with dual valve srpings and retainers
Cam motion cam 228-224-589-588 on a 114+2 lca
    Innovative t-76 turbo
    6.0 truck manifolds
custom 1st try engineering turbo system. 4 inch down pipe to dump before axel
    moser 12 bolt 373 gears
    sumped 98 tank
aermotive pro series pump -10 feed
    60# injectors
    -6 regulated return

just wanna make sure i dont do something stupid..

scaleing the injectors..im gonna take a guess for 60 injectors i would need to

to change the flow rate to

    60.02 60.39 60.70 61.08 61.57 61.70 62.07 62.44 62.81 63.43 63.68 63.74 64.18 64.73 64.86 65.23 65.79

these are gonna be sd cars so no maf

do i turn the maf calibration
    airflow vs frequency
to all 0 across the board

Set the MAF FAil Frequency High to 0 Hz and set the DTC to MIL on first error, then uncheck the SES Enable light.

You will need to do a write entire to apply the 3 bar SD OS. Then I think on the gen 3 multi-bar SD tunes you need to remove the MAP sensor PID and add the 3 bar MAP sensor PID in the scanner so you can see the correct manifold pressure.

Do a search for injectors.xls and plug in your injector info. It's likely that the 60# injectors were rated at 43.5 PSI of fuel pressure so at 58 PSI they will flow more at atmospheric. The numbers would look like this:

    69.28325412 69.71504837 70.14418464 70.5707114 70.99467569 71.41612314 71.83509806 72.25164345 72.6658011 73.07761161 73.48711443 73.89434793 74.29934942 74.70215521 75.10280062 75.50132005 75.89774699

After that I'd go ahead and add ~15% to your VE table to make it safer and interpolate your boost VE table but I'd stay out of boost until you get it to the tuner.

    awsome thanks man!

yup plug them into the file and got this

    69.28325412 69.71504837 70.14418464 70.5707114 70.99467569 71.41612314 71.83509806 72.25164345 72.6658011 73.07761161 73.48711443 73.89434793 74.29934942 74.70215521 75.10280062 75.50132005 75.89774699

You have a returnless fuel system right?

    nope

sumped external -10 feed to rails then to regulator and -6 return

im told to set fuel pressure to about 60-62 psi

OIC, and I assume it's vacuum/boost referenced? If so then just plug whatever your fuel rail pressure is at atmospheric (vacuum line disconnected from the regulator) into the spreadsheet and use the number in the left most column from the spreadsheet (probably the 69.3#) and put that in across the board for a flatlined IFR table.

ok dumb question but wanna make sure

MAF FAil Frequency High to 0 Hz

    thats under engine airflow

    and its
    MAF CALIBRATION
    airflow vs Frequency

set to 0 across that table

No need to zero out the MAF cal table. If the P0103 DTC gets tripped it will ignore the MAF.
