    Another invalid application key thread

I just installed everything onto my laptop by following the directions I received in my email, but it keeps saying invalid. What's next?

To download & install the newest public version 2.22 & try again.
It doesn't have to be perfect, it just needs to be done in two weeks...

Could you be more specific? Do I need to un-install everything before I download what you talking about? Also where is this download located? I also don't have the laptop connected to the internet, but I'm sure it's gonna have to be connected to download what your talking about, correct?

    Thanks again.

Sounds simple enough, besides the fact that the laptop I have will not connect to the internet. I've been on the phone for hrs today trying to get it to, but it won't. Is there a way to save it to a disc with my desktop, and then download it to my laptop?

Sure, i usually just us a usb flash drive or SD card to transfer files from my home pc to my laptop when I'm in a pinch rather than having to burn a file to a cdr or something.

It still won't accept the application key. I downloaded it to my desktop, transfered it to the flash drive and to my laptop. I clicked it and installed everything, and when I open vcm editor it still says the application code is invalid. I'm lost here.

Its either one of two things:
    1. you are not copying & pasting the application key in from our email & you are trying to type it in
    2. you do not have 2.22 installed

Those are the only two possible reasons for this error.

Your right, I'm not using copy/paste. I've been typing it in. Why won't that work? It's impossible for me to copy/paste when the laptop HPT is on, isn't able to connect to the net. That's why I had to use a flash drive to get the update from my desktop to the laptop.

Copy and paste it into wordpad or some program and then copy and paste it into your flash drive. Then into your laptop. Then you know the drill from there.Just keep copying and pasting!

It won't work because everyone screws up when typing it in

There are only two causes for an invalid application key, if its not one its the other.
