    Idle & Tune Help

First, I need some help adjusting my idle. It seems to be jumping up and down in rpms (approx 50) at idle. Sometimes it will almost die after cracking the throttle. I am getting a little surging too. I'm sure my raf is off, but I'm confused on how to fine adjust it. It's hotter than hell here, but I have posted and Idle log.

The car is running great with the current tune. Please also review the rest if you have time and give any suggestions. I have posted an approx. 10 mile log with a wot run. I do not have a wideband...yet.

I have searched read manys posts the past month, but to be honest I am getting confused on how to fine adjust some of these and have to admit I need some help.

I know you guys do a ton of these, but any help is appreciated. Thanks.

So I went for a short cruise today and while logging I noticed my narrowbands dropping instantly to 30-60 mv in 1600 collum while traveling at 65 mph. As soon as I shift down and it changes collums it goes back up to 450-600 mv. WTF? It started out this way then the collum came up as normal before it dropped again after about 10 minutes. Its got me worried since I dont have a wideband yet. Whats causing this and what needs to be done to fix it?

you fine tune with a cold startup log and adjusting with the LTIT and STIT

I'm not the most experienced in the world,.. but I know when I had hunting idle issues, getting the "ocean wave" effect that would eventually fix itself but sometimes not..

Root cause was I had scaled down idle spark under/over speed because I thought it was too aggressive.

I switched it back to stock and it got solid, really solid.
You have them flat lined at -2 for over and +2 for under.
If your feeling like trying something, change that one thing back to stock and see if it helps, It did for me.

From a download I just did:
    04 GTO
    Overspeed
    0.00000 -2.00000 -6.00000 -9.01099 -9.01099 -9.01099 -9.01099 -11.01099 -14.00000 -16.00000

    Underspeed
    9.01099 9.01099 9.01099 9.01099 9.01099 9.01099 9.01099 7.01099 3.01099 0.00000

Notice how vastly different yours is from stock values.
Use your own stock obviously, but Its at least worth a shot.
Mine was like night and day.
    Just a thought

Yes, spark control is the largest contributor to idle control as airflow chagnes are not responsive enough.

Adjusting my over/under speed idle spark table back to stock values helped a lot. no more surging. Good advice.

You still need to get the idle airflow setup correctly if you have not.
