Changed the part throttle downshift tables as per this forum and the car runs much better but when in cruise control there is no part throttle downshift just lugging. When the cruise control is turned off during part throttle acceleration the transmission downshifts. What needs to be changed to allow part throttle downshifts while in cruise control?
The first table called normal is what sounds like you modified. Copy that table to the cruise table.

I left my cruise part-throttle table and cruise TCC apply/
release tables stock. What you want for street driving
is way different from what you want for highway peace,
quiet and economy (presuming those are your cruise
control interests). I would go and copy everything that
has a cruise-specific table, back from your stock tune
file (you did save your stock tune file, right?).
I changed the cruise table to match the normal table and the transmission shifts as well as the normal mode.
