Thread: Total Fuel is not the same as Main Fuel + Pilot Fuel?

Total Fuel is not the same as Main Fuel + Pilot Fuel?

I was under the impression that: Total Fuel = Main Fuel + Pilot Fuel

However, looking at my logs, there are times (for instance) when the Total Fuel shows 91 and the Main Fuel shows 79 and Pilot is 0 (WOT).

Why are the Total Fuel and Main Fuel not the same (or very close) in this case? See attached screen capture.

The truck is a 04.5 LLY.

    Thanks

i think the main fuel PID is limited to 79 as the max.

    Interesting...

So then the main pulse width is clipped then too?

Is there any way to get the main fuel, or do you just have to make an equation and subtract pilot fuel from total fuel?

Total Fuel PID is not limited, Main fuel and Pilot are limited to 79.68 mm3

you could make a custom pid by subtracting as you mention.

    Thanks.

Is the pulse width PID clipped then too?
