Security access denied code 11 when trying write calibration.

I was doing a gear/tire correction on an 06 2500 duramax, and had to go back and redo the gear ratio. I tried to write calibration, when I got an security access denied code 11, and a failure to write the calibration. Has anyone seen this and does anyone know how to fix it? I unselected the high speed write, and had no success. Thanks in advance.

Please send a copy of your stock file, the file you were trying to write to the pcm along with a vcm suite infolog while connected to the vehicle to support at hptuners.com

Are you able to write the stock file back to the pcm?

Thanks for the quick reply. I didn't try waiting before trying to write, so that might have been the problem. I'll have the truck back tomorrow, so I'll know if that was the problem. Here are the stock and the two tunes I was trying to write. Thank you.

Still doesn't write. I cant get the stock tune to write. The vin/tunerlock option is not availalable as in my 06 gastune for my other truck. Do you think that is the problem? I didnt lock my tune, so I cant figure out why its locked. I'l be sending the info to support. Thanks

Please try reading your pcm(again) and then immediately writing the file you want back to your pcm. We've seen this happen on a few select models however haven't been able to pinpoint a commonality between them.

I was able to read the entire vcm, and it looks like the inital write never occurred. All is good now. Thanks again for the help. By the way, what is "unable to auto lock vcm" mean? And how do you turn autolock off? I didn't select it, andit keeps popping up.

It means you are unable to tunerlock this file. You, at some point, clicked on the autolock button in the calibration details window, to turn off autolocking simply click the button again.

I recently had the same problem on an LBZ, battery voltage was too low, 11.8

hooked up a charger 12.9 and all is good.
