Does anyone know of a product that supports this version of GM engine?

I plan on doing some valve train mods, improve air flow, and eventually install forced induction but I would rather have more immediate control over what its doing with something like an HP unit.
Unfortunately I believe HPTuners currently does not support that vehicle/engine platform. If I were you I would email [email protected] to verify though.

    Re: Truck Owners

exopar, pull your ecm out, check the service number, most likely is 1227747,

if so then you need the following

tunercat software with $42 definition file (99 bucks total)

eprom programmer/reader (anywhere from 50 to 1000 bucks)

spare eproms (2732a eprom usually wont reprogram) you want the 2732B, or install larger eprom with switch to select which program to use.

some places you should go, www.thirdgen.org , check the diy prom section, www.moates.net , hardware and software , search for tunerpro , similar to tunercat just a lot cheaper.

then of course your going to need a scanner, check into a program called winaldl

that should get you going in the right direction anyway

Mine is a 5.3L. I have tuned out all the knock in my truck, when it knocked you could here it. Especially on high loads, but when it was stock it didn't knock much.

    I am new again! ;D

We traded in our Sierra for a 2002 Silverado 1500HD 4x4 Crew Cab. It is already modded with a Gisbon Exhaust and an AFE stage II intake. I am going to work on getting the LTFT down to a respectable level, then adjust the daily driving shift points. This is going to be a great Tow Vehicle!

    Re: Truck Owners

I should have posted up here a long time ago. I have a 2002 sierra 2500HD crew cab 4x4 with a 6.0L. Whipple supercharger, 3000 stall converter etc. Just got the EIO cable and LC1 wideband. Don't know what the hell i'm doing. Anyone wanna point me in the right direction? My a/f looks ok as far as i can tell, but, my ltrims are out of control. huge numbers like +20 etc.

I'll gladly post up my tune and my log file if someone can tell me how to

    Re: Truck Owners

It is ok if your LTFT spike to +20 or so, just so long as it is not a dropped frame (-100). The LTFTs will bounce around like that, just set the histogram to display the average LTFTs. If those are within reason, you are fine. If not then the MAF sensor needs to be recalibrated. RedHardSupra has a spreadsheet for that, this works very well in my experience. Also, there is suppose to be another MAF Cal file based on LTFTs, but I have yet to try that out. You can find them on LS1Tech.com.

    Re: Truck Owners

i fixed the ltrims by adjusting the ifr table. looks good now. why did i just spend over $350 for a wideband? I could have just tune my ltrims via ifr table then spend $75 for 3 pulls on the local dyno. oh well. now i have it anyway.

    05 Chevy crew cab Z71 5.3

Flowmaster dual exhaust with an X-pipe
    K&N FIPK
Silveraldo SS running gear and brakes with 4.10 gears
    33 BFGs
Programmer on the way and will be on the dyno the following day.

As of right now I can not drive over about 80mph because my truck thinks it going 98 and keeps shutting off. Also because of the gear change it confused the computer and disables the ABS. HPT to the rescue..
