What's the "trick" for keeping the A6 in gear on the dyno. Even using the paddle shifts won't leave the car in gear.
Thanks in advance for any advice.

You must modify your calibration to allow you to lock it into gear using vcm controls as most calibrations do not allow it over a specific RPM and MPH

It doesn't have to be perfect, it just needs to be done in two weeks...
A wise man once said "google it"
I have asked this question several tmes for the 07 Sierra's and certain Trailblazer SS's and it wouldn't work. Has this been rectified now.
If you follow the screen shots that Bill posted you wont have a problem. You can hold any gear, any rpm.

My first time messing with the A6 so forgive the stupid question. Im assuming that setting the max rpm and speed to a high setting will keep the vehicle in the gear you have manually selected and keep it from downshifting? Thanks in advance...
This seems to work for me. I dyno in 3rd gear paddle and never shifts to 4th.
Could someone please re-host the photos? This is a worthless sticky if all the information is in photos with broken links.
Thank you,

The procedures mentioned are no longer needed. You can lock them in gear, and lock the converter with the VCM controls now.
Put it in paddle mode. Shift into 4th (closest gear to 1:1). Open your VCM controls in your scanner. Go to Trans. Click 4th gear, and lock the converter.

Did you do what is suggested in post #2?
Anybody get this to work?
Try the Corvette shift properties and TCC tuning. Worked for my 08 Corvette on the dyno.
I just dynoed my 2014 6.2 Sierra basically following the procedure noted by Ed (except I used 3rd gear) and it worked fine.
I'm going to try it this weekend . Let me just make sure I have it right .
I set the max rpm high , figured set it just under my rev limiter .
Then I set the max vss and the downshift mph very high .
Correct ?
just set the down shift tables with lower speed (5mph) 3 > 2 and 4>3 ..
Once you perform these changes can you leave them in the final tune?
