    Hi All!
New to tuning with HP but getting to know where to go with it. My "test bed" is a 55 Bel Air with 06 lq9, 4l80, long tube's and somewhat stock for now. Planning a cam upgrade, lifters, push rods, and springs soon. The car is being massage toward street/show driving. Nothing track related. I've got 40 years of control system troubleshooting and design behind me, but have this project to occupy me and have fun with during "retirement" and chemotherapy.
I appreciate those with experience sharing their knowledge and look forward to reading and learning all I can from you!
    Happy motoring!

Good morning everyone my name is Justin.

I have recently bought a 2007 F150 with a 5.4 that needed a camshaft and timing components and a few other things. While looking for cams I decided to go with a comp cams (127020) and lock the camp phasers along with a few other things. I really couldn't find anyone that could tune the truck local so I decided to to give tuning a try (we'll see how this journey goes). I also have a S10 that I'm looking do a few upgrades to and tuning will come in handy there too. I look forward to getting the process started.

Hey guys my name is Kevin. I'm looking for a little help and idk where to go. I need to get in touch with someone who can write a tune for my truck. It's a Ram 1500 2016. I installed long tube header's on it. But now the O2 are registering that's it's got a leak or defective. Obviously they are not. What's happening is it's not heating up quick enough for the parameters in the computer. But anyway if anyone can lead me in a direction of a programmer I'd really appreciate it.

Creepc in the Houston area, actually Galveston county. Done a few older motor swaps, before obd2. most recent thing going is a 2018 5.3 with 6l80 into my 91 Silverado. What a difference that is. Had to have help getting it to go, had the wrong computer, but Eber got me going. since then, made it a daily driver. See a few things in need to do mechanically, like replacing dod lifters and cam up a bit, and making some changes to trans and torque converter. Hoping I can find the help I need in here without having to embarrass myself by asking questions. When I changed the rear gear from a 2.83 to a 3.73 the tune had to change to get the speedo back, and it changed some other things as well. Still don't like the way it lugs between 40 and 60mph. That is some of my focus for now. Thinking it may be torque converter settings so may play with that a bit. Anyways, HELLO!

    My name is Jeff.
I've spent most of my career in road racing. My primary tuning platforms are Hondata, AEM, Haltech and MegaShit.

This is my first experience with HP Tuner. Within 1 hour I am here signed up on this forum to figure out WTF this program wants from me. I have read through the tutorial and I have learned very little from it.
I am going to do my best to find the answers from past threads but tuning on this platform seems to be about defining constraints instead of defining VE, Spark and VCT tables in a normal KPA vs RPM on a 2d table. This is the opposite of what I beat into my brain for the last 15 years.

I am here because I have recently assembled and installed a 6.0L LS. Texas Speed Deleted AFM and VVT Kit.
Using the downloaded OEM ECU parameters I have disable DOD and set Cam to 0. I have set my injector parameters based off the provided information from them.

    My issues:
This is my first V8 Tune. Yes, I define this as the first big issue.
The engine running but STFT are maxxed positive on bank2 and are high but reasonable on bank 1. Black smoke is chugging out the exhaust.
Normally i would go to the Fuel map and take away the positive STFT percentage from the table and start reeling in the rich condition buuuut, this program doesn't seem to offer this.
Also, TPS seems to be stuck at 25 26% for some reason. I can not seems to relearn the throttle body or pedal from the Editor or Scanner.

If anyone is willing to point me to a thread specifically outlining how to change and refine fuel and spark maps i would greatly appreciate it.

I do have the Tune and the log if anyone is willing to view them.

    Thank you

Hey everyone .... so my wife and I bought a 2006 grand Cherokee only to find out we were probably silly for being so trusting however since I had me a lemon I went with it. Pulled the motor outside in the winter, you can already see when this is going.. i purchased a hellfire 2.0 cam from FRP reman heads which I ported and polished, high volume oil pump clevite tri metal bearings, stainless long tube headers, AMS lifters mds delete egr gone etc it's a race jeep. I finished this motor a few months ago and spent a month everyday after work til the wee hours getting everything hooked up, long tube's in a jeep ....what was i thinking? It fired right up sounds great then dies. I didn't have the money to pay a tuner at the time. Last night I blew my wife's Buick up trying to get into our building site. She's got to work on Monday and that was our last running vehicle. Does anyone have a tune for this 2006 grand Cherokee. ??? Thank you in advance God Bless

Hello, my name is Jon. I am am industrial maintenance mechanic, and an automotive and motorsports enthusiast. I have always loved anything with an engine, and making them go faster. I have a heavy right foot and like the thrill of fast and loud vehicles. I have wanted to take a dive into tuning modern vehicles, and finally took the leap. Ordered an MPVI3 and PCM unlock for my 2017 Ram 1500 5.7L. I also have a 2007 Grand Cherokee Laredo with the 3.7L that I will eventually be tuning. Happy to be a part of the community and hoping to make some friends and gain some knowledge from you guys along the way.

How it going everyone! Justin here. 27 years as a professional mechanic. Most in Dodge dealerships, went to the aftermarket a few years ago and not looking back.
I?m a hopeless mopar guy. I really love 2nd gen ram and 2nd gen Dakota. Hoping to learn more about doing my own JTEC tuning and get to a place I can contribute to the knowledge base.
