Hi, my name is Dan. I'm as green as green can be when it comes to programming ECM's. Thankfully I have my son I can lean on, he's got 4 years experience. I worked 21 years as a GM transmission specialist. I've built a few carbureted muscle cars and hot rods. Currently have a 69 Mach I and a 34 Chev pickup. I've also worked on top fuel dragsters and nitro funny cars since 1988. For the last 20 years I've worked as an instructor teaching the new generation of apprentice techs the basics. Heading into retirement and thought it would be fun to learn a new (to me) part of the trade. I have three vehicles to practice on, hopefully they are still drivable when I'm done! lol Thanks in advance for any help with my curiosities!

whos top fuel teams were you on????

i got out of school and got my a&p lic late 1981 when the aircraft industry was about to fold and ended up in the NHRA working on fuel teams as well

John Force first, and then you know how that goes... i moved around from team to team

worked with some great people and learned a bunch over 2 decades before starting my own top gas team

if i was charging for my experience, rather than my time, no one would be able to afford my help

not sure what platforms you plan on 'practicing' on (i only tune mopar) but hmu Dan

New guy here. Played around with Megasquirt only a micro-amount a few years ago but never took the time to really learn. I'm here to learn, listen, read, and hopefully become proficient at tuning my own junk. I've got a 0411 and CNP swapped 99 K30 pickup with a Vortec 454 that I need to begin with and later move on to my 6.0/4l80e 77' square body. I plan to do more listening than speaking as I've learned that is the best way to learn and not piss off those who know what they are talking about.
