I dont know much about the HP tuner but Im trying to build my understanding of it. Would appreciate any words of wisdom for a beginner.
Welcome! My biggest tip will be when asking a question about an issue you are having is to always include a log and tune file. Other than that welcome!

Hey, I'm Justin! I have a 2008 tundra that I can't wait to tune. Have had a mpvi2 for a while but haven't done much with it. Finally joined on here today after reading the toyota tuning threads many times. Hope to buy the credits soon and get the journey started!

I'm here to learn what is possible, better understand how a ECU and other sensors communicate, and ultimately customize a tune for a 2020 Mustang GT I drive. This seems to be a great community of very knowledgeable and helpful people so far. I have worked on hotrods for several years and have had several cars tuned by others or bought piggyback adapters or chips, but now I am going to try for myself! Starting out with just some simple adjustments to fan and cooling settings to get used to the program and the method of flashing is my plan, does anyone have any tips or suggestions other than the regular stuff found online (battery charged, good internet connection, start out light)?

Hello my name is Bob and I am new. I have been building my own cars for about 40 year but just starting to work with EFI systems.
The latest car is a FFR 33 with the LSX 454 and a six speed. The system is a GM crate motor and that came with a LS7 intake, throttle body and ECM.
I have the HP tuner and looking for some ideas to help make it run better.

Thank you to everyone that helps.

Hey all. My name is A.J., I'm a professional auto technician. Not new to tuning, just new to HP tuners. My last tuning build was a 1988 Dodge Caravan with an SRT4 swap running MegaSquirt. I recently built a 1969 Cadillac Hearse (wanted one since high school, I'm 49 now) using a 2011 GMC Yukon Denali XL as the donor vehicle. I used the 6.2L engine, 6L80 RWD trans, computer, wiring harness, BCM, and gauge cluster. I did the DOD/VVT delete using a stage one Brian Tooley cam and used an LS3 intake so I could close the hood. Just lurking around for the time being trying to learn.

Hello, I am excited to be here and to learn how to interpret and make adjustments to tune with the HP Tuners software.

I have been wrenching all my life being most involved with Cat, Cummins, Detroit and Paccar engines being involved in software hardware tuning since the mid 80's. I have also raced pro-gas in NHRA learning the engine mechanics side. Also building Harleys using TTS Mastertune in getting some pretty hot engines to run properly using optimized fuel mapping.

My current project is rebuilding a 2008 Avalanche with an L76 6.0 LS engine, 4L70e trans, deleting the DOD but using a vvt cam to get this optimized for towing and short distance driving, sometimes on trips but wanting to get more performance without waiting in gas lines.

Currently Im having problems and will start a thread hoping some of you here can help me understand and better diagnose my problem.
