I've a 2004 Silverado that I've been bolting onto since it was purchased new four years ago.

I just purchased HPT last week and am highly anticipating the arrival of the new toy. I have a feeling this forum will be my new home as I am trying to educate myself in the world of tuning.

What's up. Just checking in. I've been researching tuning options for my 2000 Pontiac GTP since I've pretty much reached the limits of the canned performance tune.

The other tuning option in the community is pretty much dead so that leaves HPTuners as my next choice, and I"m liking what I see on the forums here; there seems to be a lot of guys with the L67.

The plan is to become familiar while tuning my basic setup now, and then next year when I go turbo I'll have a tuning foundation so I won't have to depend on a performance shop or local club member to constantly tune my car.

    Mods so far:
    3.4" pulley
    headers
    colder plugs
    colder thermostat
    GMPP catback
    CAI
    DHP 1.0 PCM

    Before the headers I ran a 13.90 at 99 mph with a 2.1 60' (weak, I know).

Hello, My name is Dave. I have a 1971 Datsun 240Z with an LS1 swap from an 01 firebird. I JUST got my HP tuners today, so I felt it was a good idea to introduce myself. :-) I'm 25 years old, been into cars since I was in high school. I have been a Volvo Mechanic for roughly 3 years now. I am looking forward to learning more about what HP tuners is all about.

    Hi, my name is Joe.

I am looking foward to receiving my copy of HPTuners and get to additional fine tuning on my car.

As for my car, I have a 1988 Pontiac Fiero GT. The drivertrain is an l67/4T65E-HD combo from a Buick Park Avenue Ultra.

    Modlist for the motor:
    -Northstar TB
    -LQ4 MAF
-Ported Blower inlet/outlet by triple edge performance
-ZZP short stack intercooler adapted to the Fiero
    -ZZP 1.86:1 roller rockers
    -ZZP front powerlog
-3" mandrel bent exhaust into a single in/dual out Magnaflow
    -CAI
    -Modified series-3 fuel rails
    -42.5lb injectors
    -Walbro 255lph fuel pump
-ZZP modular pulley system currently running a 3.0" pulley

-Custom Tune by Sinister Performance in Fort Wayne (also performed the swap)
    -NGK AFX wideband
    -Aeroforce Scanguage

My best numbers are 256rwhp/319rwftlbs on the dyno (93 octane, stock injectors and a 3.25" pulley). I have run a [email protected] in the 1/4 mile (3.25" pulley, 100 octane)

My car already has a decent tune on it. I bought my own HPtuners mainly for small tweaking and adjustments. I have seen how the program basically works, but I'm a rookie to this whole tuning thing and have been spending the past week searching the boards trying to gain as much information as I can. I am dying to get new numbers and timeslips.

    Here's some pics:

Hi everyone, My name is Talan. New to tuning and to the forum, and finding out how incredibly clueless I am about automotive tuning. I've always liked turning wrenches on cars though. I have a 2005 Cobalt SS/SC that is gonna be dropping the SC in favor of a turbo setup.

    Current Setup is

    05 Cobalt SS/SC
    GM Stage 2
    42.5# injectors
    79mm pulley
    Injen Intake
    Vibrant Header/downpipe
    GMPP Sport Exhaust

I just ordered HPtuners yesterday so I'm really looking forward to learning a lot here and diving in to get this pig rich GM tune outta here. So its great to be on here and I look forward to learning a lot from you guys. And hopefully you can put up with my retarded questions for awhile.

    Hello. My name is Jon.

    I am building a '48 Chevy pickup with a 5.3/4L60 out of a '04 Silverado.
I'm in the middle of fitting the engine/trans to the chassis, so I am not into the tuning just yet. I am going to run things stock for now, and make some mods after I know the swap is a success. I am just here testing the waters to see if HPtuners is the best option for getting me up and running.

I am not a wrench, but I have spent my entire adult life in the automotive industry (mostly as a service writer/manager, and also in GM parts for a few years in the mid 90's).

Hopefully I can be of some help once I get some tuning experience under my belt.

Talking Transplant of a LS1 to a Boat

    Hi

I am putting an Ls1 from a VZ Commodore (Aussie GMH car) into my 15 foot jet boat.

Has anyone on the forum done anything like that, even a retro fit into a hotrod with old school analogue auto transmission would be useful guidance.

My version of the LS1 has the first electronic throttle (Hitachi version) , So far I have downloaded the OS from the PCM and disabled VATS. Need some advice on how to cope with having no A4 transmission interfaced to the PCM

On the plus side , no MAF , no emission rules, no speed cameras on the water.

Name is Matt and been around the block a little with tuning (CMR software), but just got started with HPT. I have an 06 TBSS and an 02 Trans Am that I will be using as my 'test' vehicles and go from there. I'll probably have a few questions along the way and appreciate any support that I get. I'll try to help out too with whatever I can.
