    Back in the game

    Hello all,

I've been out of the building and modding thing for about 10yrs now. I just bought a 2013 Chevy 1500 4x4 with the 5.3. While I don't plan on anything major, there are a few things that I want to tweak here and there. Is there a specific thread for this gen Chevy? I've tried the search and this was the only thread that showed up.

I was sent here from HPtuners to try and find some information regarding the traction control and stabilitrak. I'm wanting to install a true locker in the rear. I'm also wanting to turn off the stabilitrak all together. Looking at the program on the HPtuner program, I saw there is a traction control setting where you can change the sensitivity. Anyways, that's not for here. If anyone can point me in the right direction, I appreciate it.

    Bryan

Hello to all, Name is Troy. I'm a Master auto tech, gold level Honda tech and a closet hot rod builder for the last 7 years until opening my own shop about 10 months ago. New to tuning with this level of software and I'm anxious to learn this artform. Could use some help with a current E38 tune on my truck that i just can't seem to figure out. Any help would be awesome and greatly appreciated.

Hi to all from the City of Trees. I am an "old" guy with a pair of mildly modified Hemi's. I love to tinker with these things and have been messing with cars (building, modifying, racing) for what seems like forever. I am not overly fond of most handheld tuners, as they don't give the user enough flexibility. That's how/why I ended up here. I can already see this is definitely not like years gone by when you could relatively easily tune non-computerized vehicles. Like many on here, I can see that I'll be needing lots of help along the way. Glad to be here and looking forward to learning a lot.

Hi everyone! My name is Marcus. I am a new to tuning and after completing my project I find myself here trying to learn how to tune. My project vehicle is a 2000 GMC Sonoma with a iron block 6.0l, ls3 heads, and GMPP cam. It is up and running, but I need to work on the tune. I know there is a ton of knowledge here to learn from.

    Thanks,
    Marcus

Hello fellow gearheads. My name is Mark, I live in NE Pennsylvania. I'm an industrial electrician, Controls Technology Specialist III for an official title. I've spent the last several years working on and fine tuning large CAT natural gas engines and turbines, the largest engine is a V16 twin turbo air/water intercooled 80,000lb unit that makes 4,400HP at 1000rpm. ( a LOT of torque!) I'm playing around with a bone stock 2004 Lemans edition corvette convertible with an LS1 and 6spd. I want to do heads/cam/long tubes this year, but just playing with the tune now to see what the small bolt-ons affect and how to properly compensate. Loving all of the info here, spending hours searching posts. If anyone is local I do a bunch of the cruise-in's around Dallas/Scranton/Tunkhannock.

    Thanks,
    Mark

Hey, I'm Tom from St.Leon In. I am in the process of buying a 98 corvette with a 0411 pcm swap that has a few issues. I have never messed with a factory pcm car before. Hoping to be buying hptuners in the next few days to figure this car out.

What up everyone... my name is Rick and I am totally new to the world of tuning vehicles. I am thirty and actually currently incarcerated within the Florida department of corrections...yea ..prison.. I have four months of a thirty month sentence left to serve. I have been an electrician for the same company since 2004. I am attempting to change my life and actually work with what I love upon my release. my love for just about anything with an engine is where I feel my attention and devotion belong. my first vehicle was a 04 ninja 250 and my second a 05 gsxr 750 then I got the 06 gsxr 1000. since then I have owned a couple cars and trucks and my jeep wrangler. I currently own a 2000 Yukon with the 5.3 lq7 and I plan on tricking it out with some boost and other goodies. I plan on buying a lot of tools that I don't already have when I get out, like a welder and ofcourse a MPVI2. won't be long now. almost there.

Hello everyone, I'm Rich from Mobile, AL. Been in the engine game a while, big diesels mostly. Tuning my old 383 used to involve breaking out the timing light, vacuum gauge, jets and etc. Then came the LS swap. I've ordered a MPVI2 and look forward to learning all about the software from the forum members.

    Hello all,

I'm Steve and I don't know anything about tuning a car but I'm planning to learn from everybody here and try to tune my own car. I understand the fundamental but never tune anything myself. I'm just too tired to deal with tuners that don't know more than I do or is just interested in selling me plug and play tunes without dyno tuning.

Car that I plan to tune is a 2014 Mercedes C63 AMG injecting 175 shots of nitrous progressively. Any feedback would be great.

    Thank you!
