IF dialed it correctly it will make a big difference as you can tune it to your preference.

Hey all. Name is Ben. Been into cars since I was a kid. Used to run my own small performance/repair shot as a sideline to my day job... now it's just a place for all my hobbies to get worked on. I've done mobile electronics for a living, and not afraid to work on just about anything. Went through the "sport compact tuning" phase but always had someone else do the ECU tuning for me. I never saw the need to get that deep into it. Now, as I've gotten older, I've "graduated" to significantly more powerful stuff. Currently, I have a 2009 Corvette with a heavily modified LS3 and 6 speed manual. It's been (mostly) remote tuned by Rick Crawford, but we never really got in depth with squeezing everything we could out of it. It drives great, but it's going to be horribly inconvenient to have the car down whenever I start making more changes. So, I bought a MPVI2 and AEM wideband so I can start learning how to do this tuning thing myself. I feel like I have enough brain power and background in mechanics to do it.. I just need time and direction. Strongly considering the Tuning School's program or some other "teaching" program out there to get a jump start.

Anyway, glad to be here. I plan to absorb as much knowledge as possible and hopefully someday be able to give back.

Hello! My name is Andrew. I bought HPTuners to set up my Hummer H2. I'm an amateur and have no special experience, so I have not gotten anywhere with the settings yet))).

    Mike the Newbie here!
Want to learn to use HP Tuners in order to complete an LS3 swap into a 94 Vette. LOTS of dumb questions you can be sure!! Steep learning curve but looks to be well worth it.

I am retired refrigeration / AC contractor, broadcast engineer and two-way technician before that. Have been a gear head all my life, turbine helicopter mechanic part of it, Top Fuel boat crew member for "fun". We checked for detonation on that thing with a checkbook- at the time over 10k per event! You read plugs in those by seeing how much of the plug electrode is burned away - crude!! A computer would have been the cat's meow!! LOTS of variables!

    hey to all,

looking to do some tuning on my Coyote engines. I come from the carburetor world but I want to learn the new stuff. I've already got a couple of Coyote's and I'm anxious about learning some of the inner workings of them. So where so I start ? Where's the jets at on this thing, LOL!

Hi,my name is Mike. I'm an ex-pat residing in Thailand as a result of chronic illness following TBI. I bought a 2013 Chev Trailblazer 2.8L VM Duramax @ 57K Km's a really nice car from BKK - bloody expensive; unfortunately I had it serviced (60K Km's) by the dealer where I reside and have ended up with a plathora of problems following them contracting the interum service to a Shell outlet 5% of seperation deal - apart from new oil that's all I can quantify they achieved, no filters, specifically the air filter. I'm a qualified mech. Engineer from Australia and comprehend the vehicle as a result of education not simple parts swapping (Thai dealer style). I ensured all the parts were swapped out at the 80K Km's service including fuel, oil, air & Mobile 1 (15-30W 'Asia special'), dirty egr pipe to the intake has arisen + smoke through th A/C for a short period on an uphill gradient at 120 km/h for 1 hour. My problem is fuel comnsuption as a result of engine temp./ coolant has risen to nearly half gauge from it's original 1/4 ish mark - it was extreamly fuel efficent, now it's thrusty. I've done a thermostat assembly and a fan clutch both = non fixes. OBD's are clear and I'm at the point of EGR valve and/or cooler. Any insightful information would be greatfully recieved on this topic of overheating (A/C runs always) - I cannot obtain a manual in English either, this would be fantastic (for a lead) to actually comprehend what you're attempting to achieve!

Howdy everyone. Joined the forum to read and learn about the HP tuner before I decide whether to buy one or not for my 2014 Chevy SS. Just doing to basic headers and cam swap for now. Also looking for better transmission shifting.

Hi everyone,I'm Neil and am just getting into the digital tuning world and damn I wish I would've seen hptuner in jegs instead of the jet dst. I picked the wrong program to learn with but hey I am a PhD at the school of hard knocks lol. I'm running a 99 Chevy suburban 350 with a shift kit and vette servos. I'm hoping to learn a lot from you guys but the tables are labeled differently. I have been doing mechanic work for 20ish years now and I want to learn more. This is where I chose to go next, tuning my own ecm for learning and pleasure on the road
