    speedometer only change.

car is a 98 regal gs (4t65hd, 2.93 FDR stock)

recently installed a tranny that has 3.29 gears, with a 34 tooth VSS wheel instead of a 30 tooth.

im told that this wheel "fixes" shift points by tricking the pcm into thinking it has 2.93's, and that no changes have to be made it will shift just fine, however the speedometer will be off.

so what would i change to fix the speedometer, but not change shift points.

    VSS pulses per
    mile 23430
    rev trans 9.1172

    final drive ratio 1.121
    trans revolutions / mile 2568.3983
    2008 G8 GT / TVS1900 /2.9 pulley / LS9 Injectors/ LS9 Cam / Catback / Intake

First, you should program the rigth diff gear to get accurate speedometer reading. Second, the shift poinst for a numerically lower gear are less agressive than a numerically higher. For exahmple I have 3.42 on my car, if I use the shifting points of a 3.73 it will be more agressive. If you want to do this, change the gear to the setting you want to emulate and let HPT change the shifting points, save this file with a new name and close it, open the original file and the new one in compare, copy the trans shifting tables to the original, save with another new name and flash this file to your ECM.
