will licensing only the ecm affect future access to the tcm?

i'm trying to tune a 03 duramax

and i cannot license the ecm/tcm because the tcm has an invalid vin/os pair

i know the fix for this is to reflash the tcm w/ a tech 2 to the lastest file

the ecm has a valid vin/os pair

if i disconnect the tcm and reread the ecm (so i have an ecm only file)
and license that file make my changes and flash it back in (with tcm disconnected) can i then later (after customer has the tcm reflashed)
do a reread and still have access

i have read that hpt doesn't license to the tcm but i want to make sure before i have to shell out 2x credits when he wants the trans done

Yes you will still have access if you decide to read the tcm at a later time, since our software ONLY licenses the ecm & gives you the tcm license without charge you will NOT need to relicense the TCM at any time.
