    06 A4 Won't shift from 2-3 @ WOT

I've played with the shift rpm and shift mph and it won't shift from 2nd gear to 3rd gear at full throttle. This just started happening and the tune has been as is for some time. This is my second stock transmission.

Is it something with the tranny or the tune? How can I log the transmission to determine if it's dying? I attempted a log this morning. I floored it from ~30mph and it shifted to 1st, then went to second and hit the limiter. It never shifts to 3rd at full throttle. If I go 3/4 it will shift from 2-3.

Trying to attach the log from this morning. If I am missing something please let me know. I'm new to using the logging function of HP Tuners.

I did not look at your log, but sounds like a bad VSS...

Where is that sensor? Vehicle Speed Sensor correct?

Wouldn't it affect shifting in all gears and also at part throttle as well?

Yes, Vehicle Speed Sensor. I am assuming since you said 06 you have a Vette or GTO. If its a Vette its located on the diff/trans assem. If its a GTO, its on the output shaft of the trans.

If you go to WOT, when it feels like its time to shift to 3rd, does it just bounce off the limiter? I have ran into this a few times and its the VSS. Check the Bad VSS Cutoff and see if it resembles whats going on....

Yeah just hits the rev limiter. Doesn't feel like it even tries to shift. The log shows that the speedo climbs in second gear. Could it still be the VSS? How do I test it?

Just checked HP Tuners. I don't have that option?
