Try using this config next time, its a lot more detailed. Those are some funny fuel trims though.

Actually Lyndon stated those were 1400 byte changes, how many actual changes that equals to is unknown... well maybe Chris knows

So does anyone know if we can flash the stage 2 tune to our car with HPtuners? I already have the sensors but I'm waiting to see if it will work or not.

For some reason HPT doesn't see or want to reply to this thread.

Not sure why. Perhaps our market is still too small for them to care about it.

Or they just havent had a look at it yet to have an opinion.
It would be nice to get a new beta to test this year.

Might be the case but it seems they could take 30 seconds and make a post to that effect then no?

I don't think Chris has even seen a stage kit read as of yet and I haven't compared the stock to this one in our software, nor do I do hex.
It doesn't have to be perfect, it just needs to be done in two weeks...

Indeed, he can do a compare to see how many byte changes are there.
However, without knowlege of what those bits and bytes are doing in the program it won't help him much.

Brother Chris is going to need to take stage and stock tunes ,load them into his controller on his test bench, and see what bytes bit what?

I wish there were an aussie version of the car. If Chris owned one of these little mightymouse powerhouses's he'd prolly have the same Powerjones' we're feeling.

I did the compare and noted the differences in a previous post.

What many of us are wondering is, since the HPT software APPEARS to read the ECM's programmed by Chevy with the new stage 2 software can the resulting read be applied to another car with the same configuration, ie 2.0 M5 for example, and have the GM stage tune applied? (Of course the sensors would need to be changed as the GM kit requires to make this work)

I understand we don't have access to many of the tables, etc but is the software reading the entire programming or just those areas it knows about? (One area of high interest is GM claims to have disabled the learn down code in their tune.)

I ask because the software has a write changes vs flash entire, (forget exact wording from the menus) so it would seem it could do the job.

The software reads the entire calibration, which is one of the reasons the read takes 25 minutes or so

Whether flashing one file into another vehicle is possible it may be but we do not recommend it.

The file is available, in fact I know someone did try to post it here but it may not have received approval from HPT due to copyright concerns. (That's just a WAG and it wasn't me!)

So just where can I go to get a few sensors, gaskets and make up a wiring harness?

I have an HHR SS TC 2.0.

The kit you quote INCLUDES the programming from GM so no benefit there. I find it hard to believe that 2 MAP sensors, gaskets and some wire would cost over $500.

from some insider info I've heard, the cobalt kit will also include an air intake due to the restrictive stock airbox setup we were stuck with.
