Question Just want the SES light off!

I recently hacked off my catalytic converter assuming, correctly I think, that I could just shut off the code with hpt. See up in upstate NY, when it gets this cold out, they don't do emissions testing, they just check to see if you've got an SES light and if not, you're good. I just wanted to know if it really is as simple as just turning the Catalyst test off or if I'm missing somethnig, before I load the tune.

Yes... with HPT you can set the system to not throw a catalytic MIL light, or even a MIL code (without the light).

    throw in a regular tune.....
see what codes you get from not having your catalytic converter...
edit tune.....set all those codes to "no error reported" and uncheck SES
    load tune in car...
voila...no more codes thrown for those items
