Can HPT remove VATS from the VCM?
it runs and then a few seconds later it shuts down, think it is VATS.
my 99 3.8 LeSabre does not have VATS ability in the VCM...that's why I am asking....

There are vats tables in that calibration that can be set to disabled pretty easily so it shouldn't be an issue to turn off vats in the pcm if that is the issue.
