Give it a go yourself first, if it doesnt work out then pay someone.

Unfortunetly there is on a few pid's for the fords which is a little down side at the moment but im sure there will be more to come. Hopefully some way to log and detect knock would be a excellent additon for the future

    Hi guys,
I've just purchased VCM/HP TUNERS FORD PRO kit.(AUST).
Still trying to get my head around how it works.
I havent ever used any type of flash tuner before, so this software looks vey intimidating at first.
Too many years working with Autronic.
Who is best to contact re tech support here in Australia'
I have a customers BA XR6T i want to tune, but i dont really know where to start.
Does anybody do a training school here in Aust.
    Any help would be appreciated
    Thanks.

Some of the experienced hptuners guys in aus could be of some assistance to you but vcm-suite australia does do Hptuners training courses them selves down in melbourne.

Im not sure that sct even logs knock i dont think it does, from what i was told by a mate

that did some training in melb they told them to turn off knock sensors, get the engine to knock, pull a deg out and turn on knock sensor....

Im going to get yhis system which will interface straight into my dyno or hpt pro interface

The difference between autronic, motec and vcm is huge, gm cars are similar but the fords are well different, just ask your questions here or give greg a call if you brought your hardware from him

Which one are you looking at dale? iv been looking for something like this for awhile, i dont trust the std knock sensors 100% in either gm/ford so its good to have something external to verify.
Let us know befor you buy, they might ship cheaper with 2 kits.

It has to be the ks4 ithink it is, about 600aud at the moment, that has no headphone port tho, i just want it to log to the dyno so i can graph it in a 0-100 scale

Ill contact them and see what they will do for a big purchase, i reckon i could get 5-10 people on it

the problem with the Ford Oak PCM's is the PID based scanning is very limited. We need to do MPID (memory address) definitions to get more parameters. This means we need to define every memory address for every MPID for every calibration ID which is a large task, but on our to-do list for later this year.

That sounds good Chris and sounds like a huge job, the scanner at the moment does the job for us dyno tuners that have the dyno to log, i can only see it being a issue for road tuners

That would be great dale, the head phone feature would be good but seeing its got an analog 0-5v output we should be able to log it into the hpt interface on a custom pid.

yep custom pid will do the job, 15% discount is what they will give for 3 or more which wont be a problem.

I'm not sure but i thought you could log the knock sensor voltage in the scanner already?

Thanks, yes i did buy the hardware off Greg.
He has been very helpful so far.
He suggested to me that for more technical aspects of tuning etc, to talk to Mario.
I didnt want to bother Mario with questions etc, as i know he is very busy.
I just wanted to know if there are other options.
    Thanks for the reply.
I will contact Greg about the training course.

    Hi there,
Can anybody tell me what the maximum pressure (Bar) a standard BA XR6Turbo Map Sensor is rated to.
Will it handle 28 psi (2 Bar).
    Thanks in advance.
