    Converting 2006 GTO M6 to A4

I'm replacing my T56 with a 4L60E. I've acquired an engine harness and T42 from a donor 2006 GTO A4, I did not get the E40 from that car.

What steps will I need to perform to get the donor car's T42 working in my GTO?

    - I presume that I will need to flash a tune/OS from a 2006 A4 GTO E40 into my E40? Will I be able to do this without having to license the VIN tied to the A4 cal file?

    - Will I need to do anything to the T42 to get it operational? Does the T42 store the VIN and if so, will I need to set it to my VIN?

    - Will I need to do anything to the BCM?

I just want to make sure I know what to do going into this versus scrambling to get my car back on the road at the last minute.

Anything else I might be forgetting?

I have the Pro interface BTW.

    Thanks,
    -Mike
