'01 A4 C5 odd gear number.

Just downloaded the config file off an '01 C5 with an A4 and it is listing the final drive as a 3.42 gear which was only available in the M6, is it normal for this to be listed wrong?

Gear swaps are semi-common, maybe you could
track down the "donor" and ask them to verify.

Was it listed as a stock file? This is why sometimes when I am looking at a stock file I will down load two of them and compare to make sure there is not something some changed.
