Conversion won't start - HELP!

Just installed an 08 Sierra 5.3 into my 04 Wrangler. Speartech did the harness and flashed computer. However, I didn't pay for the flash so I'm not sure if they put it back to stock or left it? Anyway, this thing won't start. Fuel pump pressurises, turns off and then while it cranks runs. Pulled a plug wire and it seems there is no spark.

ANy ideas? I don't see anywhere to turn off VATS if that's what is causing it? Anyway, if you could look at the tune and see if there is anything I'm missing, I'd love it!

I looked through everything that I could see and could not find anything related to VATS or any other.

Did you look at my tune to see if you can see it there?

No,Vats will let you start the motor,but won't be able to drive faster than 2mph
if vats is active.


Do one thing:Go to System---->General----->Clutch Interlock [Disable it].
Try it,maybe it's part of the problem.

Any ideas? Speartech made this harness stand alone with emissions and they brought out the gauges and AC stuff. Nothing really other than the fuel pump is hooked up. Like the emissions stuff - canister vent solenoid, fuel tank pressure and I think fuel level.

Tach works via VCM scanner. I'm getting fuel rail pressure, but no spark. And after cranking it for a while, I don't have any fuel smell, leading me to believe none of the injectors are opening.

I have a trip planned in 2 weeks and need this ready. If I have to, I'll take it to GM Monday and pay their goons to diagnose it. I really have little knowledge on Gen IV's and right now I'm at a complete loss. So if someone has any thoughts of where to start looking, point me there and I'll look.

Got your PM last night and I still don't see where VATS is under the OS>General tab. I only have the 5 different OS settings that aren't available and a note stating that I need a write entire to save the changes.

NOW I SEE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Advanced view solved it! Now to go flash the PCM and see if it starts

Great tip, never even thought of that. I've always had mine set for view advanced

Now that I can see the VATS, I disabled it and it fired right up! THANK YOU GUYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
