Thread: MPVI Pro connection issue.

  1. #1

    MPVI Pro connection issue.

Not a huge deal, but annoying. If I'm running the scanner, and then stop it to make a change in the editor and then write the file to the ECM....I have to unplug the USB and then plug it in again, otherwise it says the MPVI won't respond.

And then when it's done writing the tune and I go back to the scanner to start the car and start logging again, I need to unplug the USB and plug it back in again.

Is it just due to each program 'taking over' the hardware and not allowing the other program to use it?

Can you post a screenshot of the error you see? I've never had to unplug my interface to go from scanner to editor & vice versa.
It doesn't have to be perfect, it just needs to be done in two weeks...

to stop are you just hitting the space bar or are you clicking the gray disconnect icon?

if you don't click the gray icon, you can not write to PCM, unplugging the USB has the same effect
