Thread: FTP area?

    FTP area?

I have a number of software projects that I would like to share. I used to host them on my own web site but the downloads got too much and my ISP started to charge me extra for the bandwidth.

Now I've moved them to geocities but that throttles the bandwith to next to useless and I get 100 emails a day saying my links are broken.

Any chance of making an area available for sharing files?

    Regards
    Paul

    Re: FTP area?

Paul, at the current time I won't be putting up an anon FTP server.. however I do like the idea.

So what I can do is this.. I will contact you via E-Mail and give you a few e-mail addresses where you can send the files depending on the size with a short description.

I'll put them up on the web page and will make the necesary changes as people send more files.

I'll even write a little how-to get your file up on this page.

    Thanks!

Alot of us may also have this little problem.. limited file size attachments.. My ISP also scans for extensions like .mp3 and kills them (copyright police!).

There is a FTP area at DIY-EFI that can be used.. but there are new rules about it being freeware and open source or something.. (i never finished reading it)
    So thats a possibility...
