    4L60E converter

I did a few searches and couldn't find what I was looking for, so on a 4L60E the converter is locked when my truck shifts into 3rd. Now if I unlock it is there going to be any changes in the way it will accelerate in 3rd. Or is this a big No No and it will damage something if I do it. I just don't want to blow up my freshly rebuilt trans.

You are safer unlocking it than locking it

It's locked from the factory I was just wondering if it will make a improvement if I unlocked it. If I unlock it will it allow the engine to rev faster.

That it will. Certainly no harm in doing so that I can see.

Unless your converter is a special converter never to run unlocked...
