    PCM always output info or is it requested by soft.

    Just curious...
    does teh PCM output all teh info..or do we need to make a call function for that info so it will output it??

    really just wondering cause I'm thinking of making a device to read obd1 on obd2 hardware(translator)

    for scanning you need to ask the PCM to send you data. For obd2 you have a lot of scope on what you can ask for. For older stuff generally the PCM has a fixed set of values it sends.
