Any safety/warning features in HP Tuner?

Suppose I make a typo while editing a shift, fuel or spark table - will HP Tuner warn that something is grossly out of whack or will it blindly obey and possibly destroy my engine/trans?

No, however there are hardcoded upper & lower limits in the pcm which we do limit you to but if you add or subtract 10* of timing from the spark table it isn't going to question it because it falls back on you and after a while that would get very annoying IMO to have the program question each & every one of your changes.
It doesn't have to be perfect, it just needs to be done in two weeks...

it's not practical to do this. In fact we used to set what we thought were "reasonable" limits for various parameters, but in the end it turned out creating support issues because some OEM calibrations went higher than our limits. eg. some GM cals have 50+ degrees or -15 degrees of timing in the main spark tables...

We now set the limits to the min/max allowed by the PCM.
